One of the significant industrial historical monuments of Debrecen is the Tanner’s House. The exhibitions present to the public the works of art of the craftsmen of the region. Walking along the workshops we can get “the inside story” of the felt maker, folk dressmaker, embroidery maker, potter, blue dye maker and lace-makers. Groups of students may participate in craftsman activities subject to prior notice.
Holló László Memorial Museum
The museum of László Holló (1887–1976) is arranged in the former home of the painter. Besides his works created with extensive brush-work in expressive colours, the documents of his life can also be seen here. The museum gives place to the surrealistic paintings of Ernő Hrabéczy as well.
Medgyessy Ferenc Memorial Musem
Ferenc Medgyessy was one of the most influential masters of the Hungarian plastic arts, who formulated the Hungarian beauty ideal of the Great Plain. The Medgyessy exhibition is open at the so-called town master house built in classicist style around 1810.
